PRE-SCHOOL/DAY CARE - 3YR OLD PROGRAM
Three year olds are curious, all day, every day. It’s
that expected sense of curiosity that we use to teach them
to learn and grow. In our classrooms your child is free to
be anything from an actor to an architect. Make-believe
play, hands-on activities, small and large motor activities
are just a few ways that we keep kids actively learning and
engaged. These activities are also done to encourage
development in several important areas. Our teachers plan
age-appropriate small group interactions to work closely
with your child to accomplish developmentally appropriate
tasks.
Our center is open Monday-Friday from 6am-6pm. The center
provides breakfast and afternoon snack, the parents must
provide lunch.
The Curriculum for the program includes weekly themes and
daily lessons.

PRE-K/DAY CARE - 4YR/5YR OLD PROGRAM
Kindergarten is an exhilarating move for children and
parents alike. At Good Shepherd a large amount of what we
have done in past years has all been leading up to it. But
it is during our Pre-K program, for children age 4-5, that
it becomes even more significant.
Teachers plan activities to increase knowledge of
fundamental educational concepts through discovery,
exploration and participation. While we amplify the focus on
mathematics, science and language we strive to present it a
fun and engaging way. In our Pre-K class the children are
presented with a wide variety of learning scenarios that
help develop their self-esteem and social interactions as
well.
The center’s operating hours are Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm. The
center provides breakfast and afternoon snack, the parents
must provide lunch.

March Fun
March was filled with tons of fun activities. We had so
much fun celebrating Dr. Suess’ birthday, St. Patrick’s Day,
and of course Easter. The children also enjoyed celebrating
the start of spring. We started our time unit in March and
we also learned about rainbows, insects, butterflies, space
the colors pink and green and the shape oval. March was also
the month that we finished the alphabet, and started our
review uni t.
As always everyday is a learning adventure!!!!!
